i dont see how that could be the equilization hole...your talking about the sharp white point that sticks up through the diaphragm? i took the diaphragm off and i dont see where to drill...only place i see to dril a larger hole would be through the hole where the peg goes that is attatched to the cover (right below where the solenoid would be) but that is to big to make it bigger with a 1/16 screw...could you please clarify what to do...sorry guess im a little slow maybe
okay nevermind...it said on wiki to remove the white plastic and it worked...thanks alot for all your help on solving this |

| I modded an Orbit Watermaster 1" sprinkler valve just like the video and the description says. The only problem is that when i pressure up the chamber, it just lets the air right through to the chamber. The diaphram isn't pushing down hard enough on the other piece. I put the spring back in and it still doesn't work. How do i get the leak to stop. Help me please. |

| Ok, I checked for obstructions, but the air is still going through. I also need to know what to lubricate the diaphram with. thanks. |

| I've had this problem lately, I solved it by pulling out the diaphragm and cleaning the sealing face. It was wet, and that's why it wasn't sealing. Check if some dew or any kind of moisture got on the rubber. |

| Does anyone know how to tell if the sprinkler valve has a guide rod or not? I have looked for the ones specified, but I couldn't find them at my local hardware store. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I am new. |

| Buy whichever one you want, then at home, before drilling or anything, take the valve apart to see if it has a guide rod or not. |

Make sure it isn't on backwards. |

I'm sure this has been gone over before but, I've found Orbit Watermasters with and without flow control. Which is best for modding?
I saw somewhere that the flowcontrol is a good thing, other places say to avoid it. |

| well teh flow control on my valve simply adjusts my guide rod so maybe you should avoid it because it might have a guide rod. |

Why do you not recommend that second rain bird valve? I bought one before reading the post and have not modded it yet...Is the response time that sluggish? I had to wait 2 weeks for Lowes to get this stupid thing in stock... I'd prefer just to use what i have if I could...
