| Fluroecent tube protecters are somtimes used as water rockets, they are clear and can hold the pressure from a rocket, so they should work for a mini. |

Big enough to go around a fluroescent tube. There are a few sizes, I think you get them from hardware stores. |

| You only need the TINYEST, TINYEST spray of fuel!! If your useing an aerosol can, DON'T push the button all the way down, if you do you will flood the chamber. When I use my mini, I only push the button down hard enough so some of the gas comes out, no spray comes out at all. |

Yeah Insomniac that's a good strategy.
You could also spray for like a nanosec and then wave it slowly around...that seems to work for me anyway.
But nice mini anyway! It looks really clean! |

I would suggest the rubbing alcohol thing I mentioned earlier for a first mini, or just sticking a long nose lighter in and letting it run for about six seconds. If you're really stupid you could swab the inside with gas.
(much later)
The gun is now made from all metal!
The chamber is some alluminum pipe that I found in my basement, and I made the electrode by bending some insulated wire and taping it on the outside, the other contact is the person holding it (me). |

Cool! It would be even better if you put a wire from the sparker to the chamber, copper is a better conducter than you are |

Actually, I would rather not because I don't want anymore tape on this, and I like how it looks.
I recently made an electrolysis device, would this work OK if I use a bad fuel air ratio, or would all the hydrogen leak out in the 10 minutes it would take to fill up? |
