My first gun

[Teflon]

This is the first Pneumatic rifle I made.

The gun is now about 2 years old and still going strong.

It is powered by around 20 pumps of the bike pump due to a quick fix after a leaky Glue job leaving me with an oversized chamber, the air is released via ball valve, opened by a spring mounted to the stock held back by a basic trigger mechanism made from a large nail. The scope is a 3-7x zoom 20mm scope bought off ebay for 10 bucks australian

I can consistently hit targets as small as coke lids on their side from 10 meters

Powerful enough to pierce 1/2 inch ply, it shoots ball bearings through an aluminium tube mounted inside a pvc pipe, breach loading.

The fact that its self powered and ammo is easily obtainable through ebay (500 bearings for $18 Australian) is a major plus in my eyes






Note the Distance between the bike pump and the ball valve. The bike pump was originally intended to connect as close as possible to the Bottom L connector.

You can see cloth i used to hold the end "centered" one day while i was out shooting, never got round to a permanent fitting.

For my next gun I am going to pull apart this gun and replace the ball valve with a piston valve, i will re use the scope, barrel and pump. Ill shape out a much neater more attractive stock aswell.

Nice ghetto monster there. The inbuilt pump is pretty good. You'll have around a dozen members tell you that a sprinkler or piston would work better but it seems you're onto it.

That is pretty freaking sweet for a first! It is very rough around the edges, but you gotta love that homemade look.

I am looking forward to your redesign. If you build it correctly, you will absolutely love that piston compared to your ball valve. You should build a stock out of oak!

Welcome to Spudfiles Teflon. It looks a little "Mad Max" but it's a decent effort.

The big spring definitely has the Wile E. Coyote thing going on there...
