Its nice but with in your design, the connection of the lower barrel, cause the lengths to be different and the lower barrel to be longer overall.
I think you need to focus on making the barrels same length overall...
But beside it i think the design is good.

i'll make a drawing to explain in a while.

hmm well the whole double barrel thing has been suggested before (on the uksgc) and it might work but you could get more air going one way than the other or maybe the bore of one of the barrels would be tighter and there would be more friction so the projectile would come out slower, the power will also be less because the air is spread between two barrels

so i think the best way to shoot two projectiles at the same time is to put two projectiles in one barrel Smile

Not strictly true.

Two projectiles in one barrel means you still have the same force (pressure acting on the projectile base area) but double the weight, so less energy.

By using two barrels (assuming you've increased the valve flow accordingly) you not have the force acting on double the area, so more energy Wink

yes but then you have the problems that i mentioned such as getting the same amount of air into both the barrels.

i just made a drawing of how i think you should make a double barrel...

yeah it;s pretty simple but it's my idea of launching 2 projectiles same time same force different barrel tell me what you think..

i get it that the drawing look a bit like an ass,
but i dont care(dot)(dot)(dot) Wink

If your barrels are say 0.5", hooking them up to a 3/4" valve like in the attached diagram, you'd get no loss in performance save for a little extra dead space.

Go on, let's see more creativity and less off the shelf parts on this forum Very Happy

idk if im lookin at the diagram right but is that just epoxy acting as the wall? i just like the reliability of parts off the shelf. or maybe get a joint that actually looks like a " Y " and make it side by side double barrel. im not 100% if im right but should the airflow divide evenly both ways if its side by side? im just tryin to milk everyone of their superior knowledge ( something i dont have haha).

If you get a "Y" fitting that's the same diameter as the barrels, you'll get half the flow going to each barrel and less power. With my design and using a 3/4" or even better a 1" sprinkler valve, you'd get much better performance.

I'm a big fan of using epoxy as a casting material for custom reducers and endcaps, have a look here and at any of my finished projects.

you would get a more even airflow with something like this.

thats a good idea but it won't work for cylindrical projectiles because they would not fit side-by-side.

why do you need two barrels ?? there aren't many modern real guns with two barrels and i think this suggests that it's not practical

Lots of double barreled shotguns around, as well as pistols and rifles, but most are intended to fire one barrel at a time.

quite the contrary. plenty of double-barreled shotguns are still manufactured

and

double rifles are probably the most elegant of firearms and the price usually reflects.
