double barrel shotguns (over-under) are the standard for clay shooting and most bird hunting. why do i want to barrels? MORE DESTRUCTION. i really like that manifold joint. but jackssmirkingrevenge, can put ur drawing into noob terms, i know your idea is credible im just really confused. lol

the only problem is the air flow cause you want the same flow in both barrels so i think the only problem is to maintein the exact same length in both barrels.
i don't think in side-by-side it will cause any problem (Piece of cake... delicious). now in the over under design it's just like do the math you need the overall barrel length(+angle and connectors) will be the same. JSR's idea is one solution it's just basically if you don't mind the epoxy it's a reducer from 1" to 3/4" within the 1" you get the 2 1/2" barrels. or theres your solution that just need some calculations to get the barrels to the same length theres also my basic design that is just 2 barrels that acts like one.
i hope i was helpfull to you good luck buildind also i damn love those double barrels shotgun designs yeah extreme Laughing

hey that is prettyharsh you know not everyone here is from hte US or any other europe country that uses mainly english..... so i tried and f**k you (just kidding nothing personal) if it didn't worked and WTF is the matter when i tried to explain JSR's design for you without the epoxy part like f**k it i just said 2 0.5" barrels go into a 1" side of a 1" to 3/4" reducer and 3/4" to your valve or whatever ....................
damn angry now.....!

good night everyone Smile

ok I know that there are double barreled shotguns etc.

I agree that two barrels fired at the same time would give more destruction - two shots are more than one.... it is obvious...
but in terms of the ROF two barrels or more are only slight improvement over single shot guns.... practical ROF of semiauto is much higher...

You're about 2 years late. DR did this back in 2005.

If I were doing a double barrel spudgun, I would have two individually triggered barrels - two simultaneously fired barrels would be better merged into one higher bore barrel so you have one projectile carrying all that energy, not two carrying half of it.

Of course, I'd prefer semi-auto...
