"OVERKILL"UPDATE: onboard CO2 and camo!

type: pneumatic
valve: homemade high performance piston, due to tapered diaphrams.
1"outlet
caliber: 47mm ( just under 2")
operating pressure: 26 bar ( 370 psi)
might upgrade with CO2 to 30 bar ( but I'm afraid that would break the solenoid valve)
EDIT: CO2 bottle is now onboard.Soda stream reg ( modified with double spring) goes up ( and a little over) 300 psi or 21 bar

exhaust: modified brass solenoid valve ( 1/2"), pneumaticly actuated by
pressure washer handle.
UPDATE: hose has been replaced by hardline, wich has better flowIt's taken me a while, but I finally finished overkill in a "look" I like.
It's constructed out of steel ( and some brass) fittings.

The valve is more than adaquate for the barrel size.
It's a lot louder than anything I've built before, and the valve is actuated noticably faster than the ones I made before.
even more so now I replaced the hose by hardline

I chose flat army green for the paintjob, because of it's rawness compared to camo.It gives it a kinda sovjet-feel.
The weapon is meant to be held in a mini gun fashion, because I wouldn't dare shoulder this thing!!!.
A pro is, this way it's shorter, wich makes it usable in CQB.( some of you know what I mean)

Dunno what else to tell you guys.It's extremely overpowered for such a "small"cannon.
It's nothing to inovating, just all metal, so capable of handling "insane pressure", as I have been said to use.
I've only done dry fires, ( old info!!)but I know this stuff, so ...well...I know.
I'll take it out for a test ride this weekend.Just spuds for now...

...that...is....incredible! I thought your original Overkill was OK... but this is 1000X better!! Congratulations on yet another incredible build!

EDIT: One question... why not step up the valve porting to 1.5" instead of 1"? Not only would this have greater flow (increasing performance), but because barrel sealers actuate faster when the barrel port diameter is closer to the piston diameter, that would further improve performance.

I found the solenoid on a flee market.I tend to visit them a lot lately.
I love those rare finds, solenoids are one of those in my country.
It's not that heavy.Chappy was heavier, but about 3x the size.

Happy I'm back in the game...This thing gave me the hardest time ever.
Notice the elbow from the reservoir into the tee...It's not supposed to exist..
I took apart a 3-part repair fitting to create that tight barrel-reservoir look.
The elbow has 2"threading on one side, but straight, not tapered like the rest.It was hell to get it to seal.( thank god for high grade silicone based construction glue!!)

About everything took a lot of extra work on this one.I'm especially happy with the pistonvalve fitted completely in the Tee, cutting down bulk-wardness, and the very "proffesional "valve mod.Never done that before.

I hope it doesn't snap my wrists as some of you have suggested.

I was surprised the 1/2" one works so well.I too would have chosen a 1"one if I could.

OOPS I misread.THe porting could be 1 1/4 at the most.I use a pipe-nipple ( piece of pipe) threaded into the inside of a reducer, to create a housing for the piston inside of the tee.
1 1/2 would be the piggest pipe that would fit inside, therefore the port can't be bigger than 1 1/4"
The inside of the tee is not suited as the piston housing, the threaded part is narrower than the inside.A reducer with an inverted pipe was the answer.
I can't get a 2-1 1/2"reducer at the moment, but I eventually will "upgrade"to 1 1/4"porting.

Brian, I was referring to the valve outlet. A 1/2" pilot valve is certainly suitable for a purpose like this; sure, stepping it up in size might improve performance very slightly; however, the difficultly in finding one and the small improvement in performance (not to mention the price) make upgrading it impractical.

Right now, the outlet on this valve is 1"; I was suggesting upping this to 1.5", for the reasons stated above. However, I suppose I do not fully know how the inside of the valve is set up, so there is a chance it wouldn't work.

You are completey right on both occasions.
Bigger outlet would yeald better performance, and, it's not entirely possible..( 1 1/4" is!!)

How do you pump it up to 26Bar? Do you have a HP air supply?

Well...postcount aint everything so..

The light piston consists of a bolt and washers, holding two rubber diaphrams, wich are tapered, to allow only one way passage of air.When the pilot is exhausted, no air can leak from the reservoir out the pilot valve.

I use a modified trackpump and brute force to reach 26 bar.

Look up my "sawed-off" in the pneumatic section and know OVERKILL has 4x it's force( and a longer barrel !!)and try and doubt me then...hahaha
