I am trying to build a gun using a paintball tank for an air source. I bought a used paitball gun from a punk kid for 20 dollars. I can not see anything on it that looks like a regulator that I have seen in the other post(I did try the search). Was wondering if anyone could give me some help.
PS..I tried to attach a picture but my computer is on ATT wireless card and is not fast enough..
in all honesty buy the time you buy the reg and all the proper fittngs that you would need to attach the reg and tank to the launcher you will have spent more than the kobalt reg from lowes cost, with the kobalt reg the only other thing you would need is a quik connect fitting and that is only a couple of bucks.
Have you ever used the cobalt regulator? The only problem with that is that it cost 90 bucks and you still have to pay for a bottle. I might stop at lowes today and take a look at one. Or I might just scrap the whole project...
CO2 regulator powers a variety of pneumatic tools in a convenient kit
Portable - hooks to your belt and goes where you go
Environmentally friendly - reusable cylinders
10-foot extendible hose
Universal connector lets you hook up any pneumatic tool, including brad nailers, staplers, and roofing guns
Cylinder sold separately (item numbers 106221 and 184295)Extended Protection Plans are available for an additional charge

why not just use the paintball gun?
its gonna cost you a whole lot to try to make one
The paint ball gun I got is scrap. Plus to do want I want it too, I would have to do some massive changes to the barrel. I do not think it would look very good. Most of the stuff I have built works, but does not look all that great. I am going for looks here as well as fuctionality.
Grumpy- I went to lowes. The regulator does not come with a tank, but if you buy it you get a free 9 oz tank. I might get one after all. I am going to try to build the barrel I want and put it on another small cannon I have. If the barrel works correctly I will procede with making a new gun and buying the regulator from lowes...
I was thinkin about making my own tank + compressor as well for my paintball gun. I thought I could get a cheap way to play paintball, but then on less shots per tank. Does anybody think its possible to make this setup? The opperating pressure of my spyder is 58bar..:S
