| What if you just have a very big air container with a short amount of pipe sticking out where the barrel will line up then build a piston similar to what clide used in the Gb semi but instead of having a trigger to open the piston, cut a curve into the end of the barrel which will push the piston back when it lines up then as it continues to move around and the barrel moves away from the piston the air in the chamber pushes the piston closed again. |

well the paintballs being fired at the same time are going to be off by a similar amount, this is just a mounted support weapon right,
but what would help would be to make a more constant speed so the balls are off by a similar amount. I would control the speed with an air motor tapped from the regulated air source |

the problem with that is paintballs travel at the same speed as BBs but are much larger, so its likely you would be able to see the paintballs exiting the barrel.... which is unfortunate because it would provide much more accurate, consistent firing aswell as being much simpler to make as you could just trick out something like an ION to fire fast and consistently and you would just need a body around it. |

@MaxuS the 2nd,
you said in a previous post that you couldn't find a high speed, high pressure swivel fitting, i think what you are looking for is called a rotary valve. try pages 92 thru 94 of the McMaster-Carr catalog. |

I finished the one pictured. The problem with it was, well it was cool it just didnt turn out as well as i liked. I welded the barrels. which was a problem because it warped the rack so they wobbled a bit. and it shot WAY to much paint.
I am building 3-4 much smaller ones which will be based on a single ion that shoots 30-35 balls a second. and is self contained meaning you can carry it around. Ala jesse the body. |
