This idea is a mix between a supah valve and a barrel-sealing valve. This idea may have been used on the LRPL 01, but since there were no diagrams I'm not sure. In this valve there is no need for any return springs in this layout because gravity will bring the piston back down.
you wouldnt need a return spring in any design, the force of the air coming in behind the piston seals it against the barrel face. you need a spring so your piston doesnt bash against the plug/cap you are using, the spring is there to absorb the shock of the piston, some rubber bumper material also can be used.
I realized after I posted it that its not like the Supah. I meant to say its like the "Big Valve." This design has a lot less dead air space than the supah, so in theory, it is possible for this to be better than a supah but I doubt it.
