is it possible to use pvc cement to attach a pop bottle to 1/2in pvc?

Possible Yes, but doesnt work well, I tried it at 10 psi and it leaked, at 15 psi It shot off, use epoxy instead, you can buy a tube of it for 5 bucks and it wont leak

Haha on my first gun, I stuck a piece of 1/2 in. PVC into the bottle and hot glued it in, never blew and never leaked. It was a water bottle though Razz

Rough up the surfaces and use an epoxy used for plastics. PVC cement is for bonding PVC to... well, PVC.

Just use pvc for the chamber, it won't leak (if attached right) and it will be able to hold much higher pressures.

May I ask why you want to attach a pop bottle to PVC?

This is a beautiful way to attach pop bottles, but it needs a lathe.
