Ok so I built a simple cloud bbmg with 1.5 pvc a 1/4 inch brakeline for a barrel and blowgun attached to the bottom of the hopper. I test fired it today and it pretty much sucked. It would only get a few bb's out every couple seconds. But then I turned it upside down so the barrell was on the bottom and it worked so much better! But I was just wondering why this is and why doesn't everyone put the barrel on the bottom if it works so much better. It still doesn't work as well as I wanted it to but I don't know its probably my compressor. Its only 1g and 100psi until I get a tank. If anyone has any answers to why its not working or why people dont mount their barrel on the bottom of the hopper please reply.

Ok here are the pics can someone please tell me how I can fix it or make it better other than turning it upside down.

I used image shack to upload them and they have a toolbar where you can just click upload and select the file. It is pretty convienent.

Are those steel BBs?

If they are then their weight might be too much for them to be reliably pulled into the airflow into the barrel.

no regular bb's but they are zinc coated, they aren't too heavy because I can hear them flying around just they aren't going out the barrell. The problem is I cant just make the chamber smaller. I guess I could if that would for sure make the gun better. Wait nevermind I don't think I could because I would either have to get a new barrell or get a new blow gun since they are both mounted on the end peices. But do you really 100% sure know its the barrel is too big?

yeah 1/4 inch sounds a bit big for metal bbs. try airsoft.

What do you mean? The barrel is 1/4 inch and they are just regular bb's.

A few things that could cause errors:
On a usual cloud the blowgun is near the front so it can blow BBs up into the barrel more easily. Yours is in the back.
Your chamber might be too big.
Your compressor is a little on the small side for a cloud using metal BBs.

one thing to check, cover the gun in soapy water and chech for any leaks, my gun completely sucked until i filled a leak in it. these guns need to be completely sealed so the only way air can get out is the barrel. the compressor is probalbly the problem see how fast the psi drops while your firing it.

Yeah I am pretty sure its the compressor because it goes from like 100psi to 80 in about 2 seconds since its only 1 gal
