If I took some PVC and heated it up and flattened could I rivit it togerher and make a box?

I have not ever rivited but I dont see why not, I would use 3'' pvc flatned because of the size. Might be to thick though. Peace

i saw a thread a while ago where someone said they stuck pvc in the oven at 375F to make it into flat sheets of pvc. so it should work

Pop rivets will hold it together, what are you talking about? Have you ever used a rivet gun( you most likely have, king gort, 'wimper') Just use the big rivets. looky: http://www.bylerrivet.com/

Why would you want to make a box out of pvc anyway? Sure it would look cool but there are better things to make boxes out of.

Yea why would u make it out of pvc ? ide personally use wood.
What do you plan on using the box for ? holding like ur propaine tanks ? or extra materials ? what lol ide personally use wood though.

I could make a box out of metal amd wood but I havent made one out of PVC before. And I know how to use rivets, I ment to just put ifI was makeing the box was ok to heat it up and flatten it out.

I would solvent weld it instead of riveting it. Especially if you plan on using pop rivets, chances are the rivets will crack the PVC.

Be careful heating it too much, you may damage it. I agree with schmanman aluminium would be a lot better in most respects.

Demon, if you want to criticise people's spelling and grammar, make sure you can get it right first, please. So long as it's legible it doesn't really matter.

just buy an electrical box of some sort from a home depot... they are made out of plastic and comes in all sorts and sizes...and wont cost you much at all!
