I was bored today, so I came up with this! It's fairly accurate, I only used an educated guess to determine a couple.
# of posts needed to attain Ranking
0-24 Private
25-39 Private 1st class
40-59 Specialist
60-79 Corporal
80-99 Sergeant
100-129 Staff Sergeant
130-149 Sergeant 1st Class
150-174(?) Master Sergeant
175(?)-199 Sergeant Major
200-249(?) 2nd Lieutenant
250(?)-299 1st Lieutenant
300-349 Captain
350-399 Major
400-499 Lieutenant Colonel
500-749(?) Colonel
750(?)-1299 Brigadier General
1300-(either 1999 or 2499) Major General
(Either 2000 or 2500)- Lieutenant General
After this, everyone is either a Mod, an Admin, or a Donating Member. |

i dont think its worth making a sticky, as rank really has no meaning here. i have seen a private be completely correct and a brigadier general be completely wrong. sure, it shows that some people spend lots of time on the site, but someone can become a lieutenant general and post nothing but crap. see my point?
i find this post to be somewhat useless, though as you said, accurate. |

I totally understand. I only really put this out here because of one post I read. I think it was pimppmann asking about the rankings system, but I don't remember where I saw it.
Edit: Please understand that I only voted for this to be stickied so that I would be able to see the poll results without having to vote later on.

This post perfectly proves that rank has no meaning, because you just made sergeant by making this post, which is pretty pointless, and anyone who really cares about their rank is just a potential post whore... and anyone who posts a topic about rankings is well... kinda post whoring...  |

I don't think it should be stickied because newer members may just want to increase their post count even more to become Brigadier General or so and they will do this by posting useless crap.
