This really is awesome gun! The whole thing is great! This is the only hybrid i would want to be next to when you fire it because of the metal chamber. I would never make a hybrid unless it was metal like yours. I also like the idea of putting a protective shield over you ignition source so if it does shoot out that it wont hit you. Have you thought about putting a union in so you can shoot batteries and and other heavy projectiles.

I like the paint/graphics, very nicely done! Are they stickers? or are you that good? You said that there's a bhur inside the barrel that holds the potato, ever have one slip out and waste your fuel charge? Are you useing a chamber fan? Whats the specs? Bore/lenth/how much yardage have you gotten out o7f it? Inquireing minds want to know.

the graphics are stickers, i have had a spud slip and fall out of the gun however with my buddys quick reflexes he detonated the empty gun with the leftover fuel and it made one hell of a bang, no chamber fan because it would blow out and i dont need one, 2' steel chamber 3" round, 4' copper barrel 2" round. around 500 yards so far (confirmed) some i never saw leave the barrel, there was just a huge bang so i assume the went farther. the shock absorbers are functional, they are the old rear shocks off my f-250, b4 i put them on the gun could knock me on my butt. i dont need a union because my cousin machined me some solid nylon bullets that can go through a car door and are an exact fit to the barrel, i use a potato as wadding.

any more questions? Very Happy

How fast can you load fire then reload it? What angle are you aiming at to get 500 yrds? Is the barrel rifled? After all said and done, cost of meterails/gas to go get them, How much did it cost you to the finished gun? I didn't notice the shock asorbers untill you just said were you got them, good thinking.

load and fire takes a while b/c i have to unscrew the barrel, i am working on a new barrel that will use pre loaded copper shells and o-rings for sealing. gassing up takes about 45 seconds with the small bottles of oxy acetylene, but with 2 30lbs bottles it takes about 5. i fire the gun at about 45 dagrees. materials were almost all stuff i had lying around, the stuff i had to buy cost me around $20 and i have spent around $100 on oxy acetylene so far. those little bottles arnt cheap

Nice dude, just wondering, I've looked throught this thread over and over and probably just missed it somewhere, but how do you hold the pressure in if you dont use a burst disk?

So does it leak at all? I would have thought that at 20 psi the potato would have cleared the barrel... Nice gun though, whats the damage like? I saw your video and it seems quite impressive although didn't really demonstrate what it was capable of. I would have to agree with old mate when he said that this is one of the best guns I have seen on this site, well done.
