1. The blowguns I see are rated to 70 PSI. I've used them up to 120 though, 300 may be pushing it.

2. Depends, the schedule is not a pressure rating.

3. Should be.

Just adding in my opinions

1. Yes, Ive pressure tested them to 600psi

2. Yes, as long as it is pressure rated

3. No

I think the major problem with using blowguns at high pressure is not them failing but actually using them, as usually it's the pressure that's keeping them shut.

1 Most blowguns can be used way above their rating. The first symptoms of overpressure are leaking and jamming. Also an O-ring may get disaligned.

2 The rating tells you what your limits are.

3 When you use a proper bumper, yes.

1. Is it a 300psi+ rated blowgun?
2. Sure, as long as it isn't PVC or any other weak, shrapnel prone material.
3. Is it inside, or outside the casing? I'm assuming it's outside, or you wouldn't have asked, so I'd say that it should be fine, but don't come crying to me if it gets your carotid artery. Remember, PVC has very low shock resistance.

one quick question
how safe (or not safe) would it be to use a 1/2" galvanized welded pipe with (unregulated) CO2?
