This is going to be the NOOBiest question ever but i jsut read the 8 pages of posts and WOW ive got catching up to do with pneumatics Shocked Im new with spudgunning and i guess gunning in general.

So from what i see of the pics... id first like to say AMAZING LOOKING GUN!!

What i hoped to find out though is how everything is connected. In my mind the whole idea of having something air pressured is complicated. I know you have to have somethign to stop the airflow into the barrel. Thus air must go into the chamber through the use of various valvles i take it? Like the one that looks like a bike pump valve thing?

Also theres mention of the piston but all i know about a piston is that it makes the compressed air move through faster? and how do u use them in the pnematics?

sorry for this inconvenience but your gun is a favourite ive seen on the site and i just though mayb something simple would be a nice place to start and learn some more.

k so after reading i still have question about the trigger system then. Is the trigger built onto the valve i choose to use or is it an add - on?

read-up in the spud wiki, please.

It's a home made piston valve, actuated by a ballvalve.
It's all constructed out of standard ( modified perhaps) plumbing parts..

Thats a gorgeous gun there mate. I just spent a few hours reading all 8 pages but I didn't seem to find an answer to the question I had in mind..

With the ball valve you used, where the hell did ya manage to get that from? Just from your average plumbing shop or are they are speciallity ball valve? I really hope I didn't miss the answer...

Thanks alot.

Unless you are in the military (or some sort of Government worker) you probably don't need a grappel gun. Odds are shooting one towards a building, you could miss and break a window.

In that case, a rope tied around a brick would work fine, but a hard hat is required.

Disclaimer: If you do hurl a brick into a tree, I am in no way responsible for any injury you may sustain.

I started out with ball valve guns too, and I learned a lot from them.

THe sawed-off is currently...out of order...meaning...it's taken apart for spare parts.

When I get the money I will revive it, with an onboard high(-er even!!) pressure pump built into the chamber, in a coaxial fashion.

I just need to figure out how to build a well performing hammer valve, and I will turn this into a repeater.
I know just what to do, and what parts to use, but as of now, it's all still just theory.

The sawed-off , although not my most powerful, or beautiful gun, is still my coolest gun ever.
