Add a flared muzzle to HEAL and you would have fooled me Very Happy

For a reasonably complete list of typical cartridge velocities, bullet weights and muzzle energies, have a butchers here

There was very little chance that I would hit the shed on any of those shots. The last one had a non-discarding sabot that would have stopped it even if it did penetrate the steel.

There should be NO chance of hitting the shed, but hey, it's your shed - and we're all guilty of backstop lapses so I'm not really in a position to preach, but after your AP broomstick incident, one would think that you'd seen the light.

Ah, the good old 40.89mm LAPB. I've been a lot more careful with backstops since then, but I really don't see what chance there was of doing any damage to the shed with that last shot.

I would suggest stop messing with aluminum foil and experiment with sheet metal

I have experimented with sheet metal. Extensively. Without having a custom flange made, there was no way that it would seal, and I worked a lot on it.

Anyway, I wouldn't even feel safe taking this to much higher pressure than I have already. I'm already using it at 3x the pressure it's rated for. There will be a higher pressure burst disk gun, but you'll have to wait quite a while for it. Probably more than half a year, possibly more depending on available funds. But expect to see something really impressive late in the summer from my work money. REALLY IMPRESIVE.

Now you've got my interest.
I'll probably cook up a project for the end of summer too, and I hope it will be a least a little impressive. It might be the combustion BB minigun I've been talking about.

Oh, and I copied your avatar. Nothing changed.

I won't be building anything really monstrously powerful or awesome in the winter. I will be building a small scale prototype of the valve for my ball bearing cannon after Christmas though. Should shoot a .2g airsoft pellet at >3000fps, so it'll make a good plinker until the winter is over. Cool

What change do you see? Is it significant?

Oh yes, it's pre-emptive. It changes before it's even copied. In anticipation of you copying it, it changed prior to that event.

Clever.

Ah yes, of course, a psychic avatar. My avatar on the other hand, only exists when you aren't looking at it.

Mine's the exact opposite. It's only there when you look at it, which is far more useful.
