I do admit that the whole pop-off + QEV idea is NOT mine - just see the Deathray Marble Machinegun under Pneumatic showcase - so please no hard feelings.

Having found that working auto idea, I figured that with a little bit of valve-trickery you could get selective firing. Eventually I came up with this idea:

For semi-auto, you need a constant airsource then a trigger. For full-auto, the pop-off needs to be accessible, and the airsource acts as a trigger.

So, to fire semi-auto, you close the valve to the pop-off, then hold blowgun1 for airsource and tap blowgun2 for trigger. To go full-auto, open the valve to the pop-off, then tap blowgun1 for a trigger.

All that gives you the bursts of air, so you'd have to make a blow-forward that would feed for the shots. That shouldn't be too hard, and many ideas float around already, so take your pick on w/e one suits you.

And thats the concept. Tell me what you think, and feel free to ask away.

I like it. It incorporates the selective fire switch found on many airsoft guns. Hopefully, that isn't made to size because you'd be wasting quite a bit of air with the whole pilot. Also, for semi-auto, you'd have to hold blowgun 1 to fill and then release and then open blowgun 2 to pilot or else all the air would just fly from 1 to 2. Nice setup although it could probably be refined into one main handle and then a foregrip. The same problems must be acomplished with this as the marble machine gun as in the high pressure source (CO2 could still be used but it might get expensive, especially if that is drawn to scale) and the pop-off might have to be modified like the snap valve from BTB. Overall...nice, i hope someone incorporates somehting like this in one of their cannons.

No its not to scale, on a real one I'd connect the pilot with hose, not thick pipe.

I figured that if you just tap blowgun2, the lower pressure would trigger the QEV without dumping the entire pilot and the airsource. It would work the same as the full-auto, which triggers while connected to the airsource, just manually.
