I know that you said that you can fire about 2 balls per second. But isn't that only because of the air mechanism? (not because of the loading)

Thanks

i really would like some plans for the loading mechanism...or at least a list of parts and where to get them...because I'm not too good with making things of an animation...

Thanks in advance

Care to elaborate on the pilot vent/ pressure valve you made. I understand the animation but cant put the parts together in my mind.

Sweet gun BTW. Very Impressive Very Happy

Edit: Sry, I should read first Very Happy

There is a pretty detailed diagram of the slide valve a few posts under the first one.

Basically it is just a tube with a plug in the middle and holes around the pipe on either side of the plug. Then there is a sleeve over the tube so that it can connect the two sets of holes or expose one set to the atmosphere.

As for the loading mechanism, there are more details as to the sizes I used near the bottom of the first page, but I don't have any exact plans or anything.

what sizes of pipe are you using? is the smallest 1.5" for the body? and the slider/trigger 2"? also what pressure are you using in it?

The valve body is 1", the chamber is 2", stock is 1/2". The trigger is part of a 1.5" tee and the piece extending back to the slide valve from the trigger is 1.5" SDR21. Sizes for the slide valve pipe are given above the detailed figure, although there is a piece of 1.25" SCH40 around the outer piece of the slide valve so it will connect to the trigger easier.

My compressor only goes up to 100 psi, so I start from there and of course the pressure decreases as I fire.

What is the limitation on the ROF? I would assume it will still fire when you have a lower pressure but in your video it sounds like a ammo loading problem.

How do you get the air to equalize fast enough. You must have a check valve for it to be that reliable?
