Nice gun! Very clean construction, looks very professional. To bad you can't use it at max power though. Where did you get that sprinkler valve and how much was it? |

Hmm. I always thought a faster pilot would yield better performance. How does that work? I'll definitely look into it.
And about the C:B- was I completely off or is it ok? I never bothered to put any thought into it!
I haven't built anything else in a while except this. It's a lung-less blowgun!
Thanks for the comments everyone! |

There's just no way that you could possibly open the 3/8" ball valve fast enough, to benefit from any increase in flow, than you could by actuating the valve with a blowgun setup.
I've actually vented 3" Irritrol valves with a 1/4" blowgun, with very good results. Bottom line; it just makes it far easier to trigger your valve. |

| a 1/4 or 3/8 QEV would be enough...and nice and compact..and still be used with a blowgun |

| @DR: How exactly does the 3" Irritrol 100 Series equilize it's chamber and exhaust volumes? Several posts back Woffer said that his valve did not have an equilization hole or even a hose connecting the two ports with a valve in the middle; he had to make one. I'm curious how it could work then without some sort of modification like he did. |

Na it came with a hose that ran from the in, to the solenoid, to the out like the valve on the right. |

Oh.... I thought you said it had nothing at all.
Well that explains it.
Now I just need to get my hands on one of those beasts! |

| i actually learned how to do it from remembering the set up DR had on his YAPOS on spudtech. The barrell and chamber volume are also exactly the same, except he has a 6'' chamber and i have a 4''. |

| How much pressure was in the chamber when you fired the shot at the pumpkin? Didn't seem like much, as when I shot a pumpkin with my advanced combustion launcher, it ended up in about 10 pieces. |
