im looking into building a small, yet powerfull gun. im thinking an over-under cannon with 2 chambers, roughly like the mega launcher, but with 2" pipe for chambers and a 3/4 sprinkler for a valve.

any suggestions on design/power would be apreciated

i might draw something up later for an idea on what im thinking about.

Ahh....

Since it's small, I'd suggest a 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" steel chamber, 1/2" or 3/4" Q.E.V. or homemade piston valve for the main valve, and then a 3/4" copper, PVC, or aluminum barrel, (for a smoother inside diameter than steel piping).

A few questions...

What's your budget?

What's your pressure source going to be? No sense in using steel if your compressor only does 125psi Wink

What materials do you have available in your area?

Do you mind ordering parts (such as a QEV) online?

Give us more info and we can help Smile

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

ya. my budget is <$150 and my pressure source is a bike pump)biggish one)
i've decided to posepone this when i discovered that sgort was selling "stinger" 1" porting valves(perfect for me) so im going to build up enough money (my dad owes me ~$100) and get 2 of them , and then just build a close replica.

im still gonna go for 2" chambers and a + for a breech style loading on the end of the barrel.

might build a silencer to go on my 1" barrel

the specs im thinking of will be 2X 2" by 24" chambers, linked with hose, 2X"stinger"valves (the valves will be connected with short hose and a 3/4 sprinkler for exhaust) and a ramrod affixed into a threaded plug for the loading of the + style breech, and then into interchangable barrels (right now the list is: golfball[36"] paintball[36-48"] and a 1" barrel[36"]
if anyone has the time could you ggdt this up for me (contact me at pandasweatervest on aim) and ill provide the details, i would do it myself...but my dads pc died(and im on a mac!!)

also, what is the shipping time like for sgort? faster than joel(which is 6-8 months Very Happy )

If you want a link to work, you need to seperate it from surrounding text.
Also, using HTML tags doesn't mess up the page format. Just do
(a href="whatever the link is")Link Description (/a)
Use > and < instead of ( and ).

Here's the same link for the 1/8" QEV.
