After this recent challenge I couldn't help but rise to the task of making the smallest possible (within reason) co-axial. Since the irreducable component is the schrader filling/pilot valve, I figured I might as well use the schrader body as the chamber.

Barrel is a 10mm long 1mm calibre length of brass tube, naturally power is laughable at best, a steel BB will ricochet off a sheet of paper - but it works Smile

edit: did some more testing cranked up to 500 psi, a 1mm BB will happily punch through 2 sheets of paper. I tried using a length of 1mm rod as ammunition to make it more visible in high speed, the heavier weight and reduced velocity made it ricochet off the paper.

Here's a test video at 1000 frames per second:

edit: cleaned it up on my drill-in-vice "lathe" and updated the photos.

Nice. You could probably modify a cap gun and use a bunch of these as shells.

The chamber is the part where the pressure is stored.
AKA the reservoir...

Very Happy

How big of you to rise to the occasion JSR...
Too bad the power is so bad.

You might need a better exhaust valve..like a 2" piston valve perhaps..
Pilot volume is probably too big ..
You could GGDT this little forker to optimise dimensions..or make that minimise..

Laughing

More serious:
Maybe you could add a stock or something to turn it into a true miniature piece of art.

Certainly a possibility but you're want to scale it up a little, more like this.

JSR - always keen to show that he's not compensating for anything Very Happy

Technically at 800 psi there will be around twice the power, who knows it might actually penetrate a sheet of paper Rolling Eyes

The artist in me has long since died, function over form FTW! In that sense, it's not worth fiddling with something that will do more damage to the target if I drop it on it Smile

Haha, JSR, I had a feeling this was going to happen Very Happy Anyway, even though the power sucks, it's still a cool novelty item!

Could be mighty inconspicuous if the rubber was left in place, but that's still so cool.

Seen as I have machining facilities I should make some mini schraders and distribute them among the crazies here.
