| Well, i ripped apart my broken AEG and decided to make a sniper rifle out of the parts. i have the whole thing built, but i have one serious problem. the rifle only shoots at 100 FPS, and takes about 50 lbs to cock. whats the problem? the plunger tube is HUGE, about 3x the barrel volume, and the barrel and bolt seal fine.... any ideas? |

| Try making the barrel longer, that's the only thing I can think of. |

the problem is probly the fact that the piston is to loose. if its loose it loses alot of power. the site below is for a airgun kit that i bought. it comes with a piston and a extreamly powerful spring. the piston fit perfectly into 1'' pvc sch40. i havent made a connon out of it, but im almost positive that it will work.

Im sure the piston is tight enough, i cant blow air past it....... it can take about 20 PSI before leaking.
I Think i found my problem though. If anyone has seen the bolt's in Airosft AEG's, theres a little loading peg with a hold down the center. i looked at it today, and realized it was TINY. i dont undertsnad thiough, because the FPS on the broken AEG i ripped apart was 250 FPS....... |

I know this is a double post, but it has nothing to do with my last one..........
I gave up on the springer idea anyway. i just hooked up a piston valve to it..... now it gets 500 FPS! hoorray............ all i have to do now is bring up its ROF |
