SUPAH VALVE MODEL
Provided By Christopher Denis - http://www.geocities.com/spudgunsnh/
About How The Supah Valve Works
The Supah valve is a piston valve and cost around $30 to make so making your own will save you some money. but you will need a lathe and 3.5'' solid PVC 3'' T drill and other hand tools. This is only how I think the Supah valve works give or take a few O-rings and the return spring. If you have suggestions, comments ideas? E-Mail me Cdenis29@msn.com
NOT TO SCALE!
Valve is closed, filling up...
Valve has just opened!
Here is another older model of it.
Quote from Tim B. (Has watched Joel put one together)
"your valve diagram is good, close to the real thing, but not quite..."

A 2" PVC Schedule 40 Check Valve is available at your neighborhood ACE Hardware store for $19. This plus a 2"PVC Cross, for $4, combining everything should make an off the shelf valve with better performance than an array of 4 sprinkler valves. I will assemble everything after Christmas and post the results.

Yeah, I've seen the internals of a supah, and i have no clue in hell how you would fit it inside of a cross and a check valve. Maybe I'm losing my touch.

There are no pictures anyone would be willing to give. It would take a real craftsman to build one with access to a lathe. Joels workmanship is amazing and its machined with great precision. Most people will spend more money making it then spending the 100 dollars

| I think he means that even if you had a lathe you wouldn't be able to make it. I know I wouldn't.

shrimphead is right you wouldn't be able to duplicate the valve even if tou had a lathe.
number one it takes a good amount of skill to mace good cuts on the lathe period.
number two no one i know of has exactly remade the insidesot the valve and tested it
numbet three lathes ate at least $1000 the valve is $150 fully loaded with all the goodies so just buy the valve and save $850 sounds like a good idea to me.
