I'd say 4 or 5, but I think it will deflect after the first 2.

Oh and very nice cannon btw, I see you have the balls to even fire it at 70psi in your garden Very Happy

yep I agree, I'll strap them together or put em in a box or something, maybe that will help keep it on track

Yeah I'll fire it at 100PSI in my garden when I do this next vid, It has to be from close up tho cos if I miss the small concrete slab It'll break a lot of glass on the other side of the fence Shocked Very Happy

About 5 metres, I'll have to find somewhere safer to shoot... When I get my own camera, I'll take it into the bush and shoot some stuff from far away. I also have to bite the bullet and chop 20cm off the barrel so it can fit in my car, then I can range test it at this big park near my house.

It's sounds like a sacrifice you will have to make for the good of SpudFiles.

oh well, just go buy another barrel later.... good luck with the testing. IF i might recommend maybe putting a couple on the end of the barrel so you can add the extension when you get to the park?

I don't know how it would effect accuracy though

I would expect a coupling would not hold the extension by just friction, but I might try. I think the best way would be a camlock or some 50mm threaded adaptors with ported out bushings so the 2 barrels meet perfectly, both of these wouldnt really be cheap, but I may do it in the future if its range isnt up to scratch.

According to GGDT barrel length isnt as crutial as I thought so I'm not that worried, theres no point of having a gun that can shoot probly over 300m if you cant take it anywhere cos its too big for the boot, so its a sacrifice that must be made. Mad

oh well, good luck with the testing

My SGA shoots close to 400 with a 90cm barrel and a smaller valve, you should have no trouble shooting around 400m.

I say around 400m because i'm not sure how far is too far for a golfball shot by compressed air, there probably is some limit at low pressures (80-150psi).

Awesome! looks like I might need to find a bigger park Razz What size is your valve I thought it was a 50mm tee so you could sleeve a gb barrel in it? Or do you mean my pilot valve?

The most I take any gun to is 130PSI which I haven't done with this one yet because the sprinkler is leaking out its exhaust side above 80PSI and I cant work out why, so I may have to get a new sprinkler.

Also do you reckon my bumper is adequate? It's a bit of bike pump hose curled in a circle and held down by an extra bit of neoprene, which hits the inside of the plug which is filled with hot glue.

Sorry I overlooked the fact that only your chamber is 80mm, not the tee Embarassed

Just try the usual checks for dust, PVC particles etc on the diaphragm, make sure the spring is seated correctly and the diaphragm isn't unevenly seated, things like those.

If you can take it back, may as well.

Well you'll soon find out if it is or not Very Happy

It should be, the way your severiceable piston works should be pretty solid as it is.
