hey everyone, I have another gun for you guys... this time its a pneumatic cannon powered by a modded sprinkler valve. I know the expansion chamber and size of the barrel could be better but its all we had at the time. The barrel is 2" and so is the chamber... All parts are schedule 40 NSF-PW... yes including the bell reducers... and this cannon has been fired hundreds of times and its a blast to shoot Very Happy

So without further ado... G.I Tactical Airsoft mods is pleased to introduce

The Golden Blackjack.

Looking good, the paintjob is very nice Smile

I'd just check those reducers on the chamber and barrel, 99% of time bell reducers aren't pressure rated.

Im lovin it

Any way
i just love the color, it looks great

And there is no way those bell reducers are pressure rated because the bushing doesnt go all the way into the reducer

I tried taking a picture of the letters to show that its NSF-PW which caused a lot of glare from the gold... so I guess people will believe what they want to for now... oh well I know its NSF-PW and you can read it in person. (hard to capture on camera due to glare) and I have fired it 100's of times so I know its safe and thats all that matters...

So from now on since thats settled, plz tell me what you think about the cannon and stray away from the DWV argument.

So what do you guys think of the detail with the gold painted screws and the over all paintjob?

Use the macro option on your camera, or turn off the flash.

its a Sony 8.1 Mega pixel camera, I always have the flash turned off and I also tried changing the white balance to see if that would have an effect... Ill just get a couple of people I know locally that are also on spud files to verify it..

Quick Question though, as you can see I used Teflon tape for the threads and Im a Nazi about details and I was wondering if Spray paint effects teflon tape at all..

I have warned David about DWV and I can assure you that even though it does look a lot like DWV, I have seen these bell reducers (we live in the same town) and they do say NSF-PW. We have fired this cannon a bunch of times and I hope everyone will like it!

nah, as the tape is already sandwiched between the threaded parts, a little exposed part wont matter. unless you spray painted the tape before you put it on. But as long as nothing leaks its ok.

no, I havnt spray painted the tape yet... I was worried it might eat a way at the tape or something... I will just get a razor and cut away and then spray anyways, thanks for the info elitesniper

As D_Hall said, teflon tape is a lubricant not a sealant. Once the teflon tape has been applied and fittings tightened, according to him you would be able to rip off all the teflon tape and still maintain a seal.
