I love the way that even so many shots on you're still terrified of it
Any movement in the chrony from the blast is definitely interfering with results, you have to put it behind something a lot more solid if you want reliable readings.

I'll admit I almost crapped myself when the barrel blew, but you can't see that on video!
The golf ball barrel is still a little terrifying, considering how little surface area is epoxied to the brass fitting.
And yeah, I need a better tripod for the chrony. The first time it fell over I thought it was because I put some tape over the guide rods as a sun shield and the muzzle blast was catching that but on the following shot with the tape removed It still fell over. There's also another shot where the chrony is on a reasonable angle on a saw horse; increasing the distance the projectile has to travel. I still have much to learn in chronographing I guess.

Well you'll be looking at a camera similar to what me and JSR got (Casio Exilim FC100), not sure if that's the quality you had in mind. I bought mine for less than 200 euro on eBay, a refurbished model shipping from somewhere in South East Asia.
You should be able to see a BB in daylight in some instances.

Let's say the BB is travelling at 500 fps.
If you're filming at 1000 frames per second, between each frame the BB travels 6 inches, filming from the side you're not really going to see anything.
I am thinking about Casio Exilim FC100 and Casio Exilim FH100...
But right now on ebay they all are almost 400 dollars
Are there any other ones besides Casio?

In terms of performance and price I think the Casio is the only one you should be looking at. I bought mine new from Japan and it was 300 dollars posted.
will in that for a supersonic bb these camera won't catch a thing
There are some videos about AEGs on YouTube in pretty good quality in slow motion, but filmed almost parallel to the barrel.
Well my dad likes good cameras, I will see if I can convince him to buy one of these big Nikons, for the price they should be able to film in high speed.
