Alright..No, it isn't an airgun you blow through..and I don't have a patent pending for it.

I'll post some nicer pictures so this thread can have some value as a miniature replica cannon thread..

haha i understand.

I assumed "lung power" was understood from his first post.

I was wondering more alone the lines of:

SO, it takes the pressure generated from your "lungs" and runs it through a venturi??

Forum rules being what they are, I think it would be better to present this as a non-functioning machining effort with no reference to its function, ambiguous or not.

Hi guys! Long time no post!

This one made me chuckle, but I do so love lung-powered blowguns that I just had to chime in!

I once blew a needle dart halfway through my pointer finger wondering if I could hold my finger on the end of the barrel, blow to full pressure, and then whip my finger away quickly thus allowing the dart to wing it's merry way to the target...

If you search: "FAIL" you will find images of how I felt at the time...

heh. thats not so bad.

I used to test darts on my feet to see if they worked or not, and not little needle sized darts, ones made out of nails Shocked

Well..here are the 'non functioning machining efforts' that have resulted in several holes in the walls.

For scale reference, the cartridge is .50 BMG

You blow in the front, quickly push the 'cannonball' in, and when you move your finger it flies out!

Nah, there's a small pilot hole at the top-back of each cannon to 'blow through'.

I'm thinking of doing a similar bore flak-88 including the recoil buffers, adjustments, etc.

If you manage that including the semi-automatic breech, I will happily exchange it for my first born Smile

Would that be a challenge I hear?

I'll make you a deal...

I can't design ejecting mechanisms well. If you design me one (or even give a link to something adaptable), I'll *TRY* make it. Standard red plastic caps as the *cough cough*primer *cough*, so fairly small shells.

I think I'd still have to manually actuate the firing pin...

4-8mm cal. is good. The OD of the caps are ~3 to 4mm, so that's the minimum size of any cartridge.
