| Sorry if this is a noobish question but why would the mix effect the spark? |

Air is an electricly resistant medium. When you put more air molecules between the spark electrodes, the voltage needed to jump across increases. (in his case, 4x mix will require an arc about an inch long in normal air.
Seeing as there is probably a quater inch gap between the chamber extierior and the edge of the telfon tape, the arc will tend to jump there, because the resistance is lower. |

Nice. I like the 360. Musta taken awhile, I just notaced that you can see the light of the sun setting in the background. You should have got the trial of flash, like I recomended, because gifs have bad quality. come on man, no credit? I helped you for an hour! I'm just joking with you. How are you reading this anyways? |

I don't think you understand how he is producing the spark within the chamber. An insulated wire passes through a schrader valve body, and is JB welded in place. The exposed copper wire is bent over, as to form a spark gap between it and the scharder valve's body. When I went to help Tyler get it firing today, his gap was much too large, around 1/4", and wouldn't arc at a 4x mix. So, we shortened it to about 1/16", and it now works perfectly.
I calculated the required meter pressure, and we demolished numerous objects with only 2 misfires. |

well like spudblaster said we were shooting my gun today and demolished several objects, some of the objects include a phonebook whick a homemade arrow went right through, we shot 4 jumbo sized chalk thinks with my arrow which went through them and was never seen again... we also tried shooting 11 pop cans in a row but started to deflect half way down the line... it was a very fun day. |

wouldn't the fuel and more molecules cause a lower resistance because it is easier for electricity to move through a substance than a vacuum usually!!
and if there are ne ions in the gas (which there wont be!!) it would have lower resistance! |

| quick question, dont you need a regalator between the meter pipe and gas bottle? or just add gas untill it reaches the pressure needed on the guage? |

Great gun!
You must have quite a bit of mulah into steel parts
What is the highest mix you have taken it to?-or are going to take it to? |

Actually, he didn't need the lengthy explanation you gave him via PM, he only wanted to know how to post the animation, as he had already created it. This is why you don't get the credit you are hungry for. |
