UltimateInlineMark III - Commando

Wow, it's been a long ass time since I've posted anything, much less update my webpage.
A friend of mine asked me to build him an UltimateInline styled BBMG for close quarters (less than 35 feet, more than 10 feet) combat. If it wasn't for the fact that I know this guy well and would trust him with my life (he's a responsible guy, that is certain!), I would've laughed in his face; no one in their right mind would think that a BBMG is safe for CQB, right?
Beyond using it responsibly (IOW: not shooting people in the face), the pressure is downregulated significantly and the BBs are all .12s; I've personally been shot with it from 12 feet away, and although it sucked it wasn't any worse than a stock P90 from the same distance. Testing my own guns on myself is a fun way to evaluate them.
It holds 1500 BBs, and can shoot anywhere from just under 200 FPS to just over 320 (if you crank up the pressure to 120 PSI and use .20gs)
As you can tell, it looks less "refined" as other guns I build mostly because this customer wanted to do the painting and other accessory-adding by himself. As soon as he finishes it, I'll put new pictures up on the site.
I'm impressed by how well this little guy runs. I shot some video of him using it last weekend, and I hope to get that video online soon... all I need is my laptop to quit crashing. It's just not cut out for HD video conversion and editing. |

Very clean and well done!
Do you have any pics of construction or how the insides look? I am curious as to how you got it to work spring loaded like that... I feel like I am missing something. |

Judging from your UI Mark II id say that this one looks more egronomical and maybe cleaner, but i dont vivdly remember how it looks.
Nice job by the way, makes me want to build a vortex block. |

I sent you a PM about the P90 me and a friend made and some other questions that I know you will wanna check out...
anyways nice cqb gun and I'm looking forward to see what additions will be added in the future. |

Good to see you here
Is that a pistol grip from an L85/SA80? |

It's is JSR it is, the poor L85. Still nice little gun though, almost worth breaking the L85 for. |

I would assume it's a spare part for an airsoft version of the L85, or at least recovered from a cheap springer type rather than something that's been been recovered from a genuine L85... (Curses, was beaten to it by Jared)
Beautiful construction as usual Neospud - I can seldom see things you've built without feeling at least slightly envious. |

Thanks for the replies, all.
I'm also glad to see people still here that I know from "the good ol' days" -Jack, SPG (still living in France, I see!).
To answer your question: No, I didn't tear up a new L85 to get that pistol grip... Nashville Airsoft has a lot of spare parts and things floating around, and I just happened to see it sitting in a box in the back. I knew it would be perfect for my needs, and they didn't care about it, so $5 later I had my grip. Those guys at NA are good people; if you're ever in the market for an airsoft gun or parts, I highly recommend them.
Sniper- I'm working on the video right now. All I need is my computer to stop crashing... laptops plus HD don't work too well |

Alright, here's a few minutes of the gun being shot:
http://www.youtube.com/v/MDtDbI0c6_o
I'm holding the camera, and the guy shooting is the customer. This video was shot right behind Nashville Airsoft between thunderstorms :p
A second video will come out this May, when I can meet up with him again. New pictures with paint will be along much sooner, though. |
