Hey all, after the dismal failure of this gun-- http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/unregged-bbmg-not-so-complete-after-al l-t19201.html

I've decided to give it another shot in a simpler design. It still uses a sawed down 90 degree tee, just inside 1 1/4" pipe. I'm waiting for the JB Weld on the barrel to dry, then I just have to attach the pressure washer handle and test it! Barrel is 12" brass tubing sleeved in brakeline

You know the internal pressure at max is only gonna be like 160 psi with unregged CO2 so you could have used like 1" pvc lol but still it's awsome and I want to see a video Very Happy

No. When making a BBMG you want to prepare for a possible jam that could jack the pressure way up and PVC would instantly explode, especially with the cold CO2. Freezing CO2 is a terrible mix with PVC. I'm also planning on adding a ball detent for higher pressures and velocity.

Thanks. Here's a picture of what it will look like. If it works I hope to make some sort of shell for it so it isn't nearly as ugly and looks more like a submachine gun. Will test tomorrow, and work on ball detent.

Oh ok yeah I wasn't thinking. But the funny thing is, my bbmg has NEVER jammed on me. Not ONCE! I guess I just did a good job on construction or something lol because I always hear about people's bbmg's getting jammed but it's never happened to me Rolling Eyes Very Happy

Most of the time it's due to poor bb quality or debris getting stuck. Never happened to me either but better safe than sorry

True dat!
Lots of crap like teflon tape and stuff have gotten in my chamber, and I use those crappy cheap Crosman .12gram camo ammo, lol and still no jams, I guess I'm just lucky, but let's not hijack. Can't wait to see the final product, you should definitely put it in a realistic shell, it would be awsome.

If you can get a cheapo airsoft MP5 it should be relatively easy to hack up the shell and make it look more decent, but the important thing first is that it work Wink

Yea. I'd like to do a CBJ-MS PDW , B+T MP9

possibly as well.

If I were to try one of those above two I think I might try doing a CO2 inflator with the grip being the holder for the 12 gram. That way its slightly more realistic.

The adjustable hop-up is really nice on HPA bbmgs. Although on mine it lead to an increased amount of jams, it looks like yours can handle jams pretty well but I thought you might want to know.

Awesome thanks! Yea I'm going to have to get on that soon, but I'd like to just test the bare gun itself to make sure that works.

Just a hint, for a really cool effect once you have verified the safety of it, try getting a little liquid Co2 in your line and shooting it. It makes for a pretty cool "muzzle flash"

Well i tested it.. and it did work! Firing was a little sporadic so I may add a plunger to help feed more reliably. Thing is a GAS HOG though. I emptied a 20 oz CO2 bottle in about a minute... so some sort of detent is definitely necessary, otherwise this thing will get expensive to shoot quick.
