ok well it may soud strange to some of you but i recently bought a valve for a cannon i have now made.
i set up the elctronics for it(didnt want to 'soup' it up just yet), fired it a few times. great cannon, works perfect

i then notices a small black screw just to one side of the sloinoid, i turned the srew and KA-POW the piece of carrot i had stuck down the barrel went flying gracfuly in a low arc intop the family car.

i have now scrapped the electric 'trigger' and now use this sort of manual overide screw to fire the cannon.

just wondering if anyone else has found this sort of thing on any sprinkler vales??

i think thats thats the on/off trigger, i never payed attention to that really, good idea, a blowgun prolly still opens faster but this way if u dont mod it u still dont need batteries, by the way, what type of sprinkler valve is it??

i've dont that before i modded my sprinkler valve, i tested to see which opens faster, manual on/off, or electric, they performed the same, then i just modded it, and got a hell of alot more power

thats on nearly all sprinkler valves, it looks different in different models, but it should be there

That screw is actually the emergency bleed. Its not good to keep using it though, its only meant for when the batteries die. It'd probably be better to use the electrics.

it says the screw is a manual beeld

would useing this bleed to trigger the cannon damage the valve?
