Even adding a spring fed mag wouldn't have helped, the bolt would have opened the breech before the ammo would have had time to leave the barrel.

I think if we think of some antichop system it might work bc then the system keeps cycling eventhough a ball is only halfway in the breech. Dont ask me what it should look like(the antichop system like on a tippmann) but we could do some more brainstormin:)

The solution in my mind is to include a mechanism that cuts off the airflow when the breech moves forward, like so. I'd like to give it a go when I get back home, but that's months away so I'm open to brainstorming in the meantime ;)

Try looking at the site http://www.gizmology.net. This guy is great. He has a 'blow forward design on the site. Check it out.

I was originally interested in the tank. I'm doing a 1/4 scale Tiger I with a paintball type gun and hopefully a combustion for the main 88. Too much work!

ok I'm really surprised no one has mentioned this yet. the design you're discussing is used primarily in paintball guns, check the trigger and bolt setup on a paintball marker and you'll find a way for full auto,[/i]
