Wax pellet gun pellets

Unread postAuthor: sputnick » Wed Mar 04, 2009 9:42 pm

Hey everyone, This is an old post I made on instructables describing the process of making wax pellets for your pellet gun

It is from when I was much less experienced, and didn't realize how powerful they actually were, so disregard all the stupid things I say in the final page, the disclaimer.

If you are interested, the instructable is HERE

Hope you enjoy it! these are a lot of fun!

Ball bearings or marbles in a wax sabot (non discarding) work pretty good too. :)

Why not just use lead pellets?

Pellet guns are perhaps the funnest thing a kid (or adult) can own, but having little lead bits spread about the backyard is not so great, and is definitely not good for the environment.

Does that answer your question? Also, the wax pellets are probably less expensive to produce.

Yes, but if you have a pellet trap or use any sort of back stop, it isn't that big of a deal, but I see your point.
