No rp181, I meant more along the lines of "that method is so ludicrously inaccurate that it will only fire on the very rare occasion that you somehow get the mix right by shear luck".

How accurate is the gauge you're using? If it is better than Grade 1A, you might have a chance, but I wouldn't bet on it being consistent unless it was like a Grade 4A or something...

So I close the ball valve, open propane regulator, let section A fill to a certain PSI, close propane valve, open ball valve to release into chamber, close ball valve, and add air into it?

It is not nessesarry
what you you would do is open one(propane enters) and close that one. then the other one (dumps the propane into the chamber) And then close that and then pressurise. It just allows for more precise fueling.
