Milkcap wadding/burst disk (Yoplat Smothie)

Unread postAuthor: Hailfire753 » Sat Jul 07, 2007 5:17 pm

Hey guys, quick question. I just found a great wadding for people with 1.5'' barrels. It is the cap on those small smothie bottles. We just got a pack of 20, and they fit almost perfectly in the barrel. However, the bottom of the cap is slightly flared, so that it slides smothly in up to that point. It is posibile to jam it in the barrel(with a screwdriver lol), but it is super tight.

Do you think this causes any danger to the gun (combustion)? If the cap doesn't budge, will it act like a burst disk? The plastic is about as thick as a regular screw-on milkcap.

Or should I sand off the flared part?

A 1.5" (actually closer to 1.6") barrel has a cross sectional area of roughly 2 square inches. A spray and pray combustion launcher with a (as close as possible to) optimal fuel mixture generates around 50psi. This means that your lid would have to be able to withstand 100 pounds of force in order to fail to move. I highly doubt this would be the case.

People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.
