Actually, UK law has restrictions on things that resemble firearms, but are not firearms (they are not powerful enough to be so).

In a total brainfart, it's easier to own an air rifle (which can obviously be lethal) than a realistically coloured airsoft gun (rather less dangerous).
Actually, I think it's easier to own a de-ac than an airsoft gun.
