Man and Universe

Unread postAuthor: CpTn_lAw » Sat Feb 07, 2009 4:38 pm

I was a bit upset that MrCrowley locked "We have no references" , and i wanted to continue a debate, and this will not be religious as i don't have faith in any religion. This will only be an open thread, talking about physics of the universe. (if that isn't against the forum rules obviously).

First, I often see people claming "The laws of the universe blablabla..." , "the speed of light cannot be broken" etc etc... To them i'd like to say "O RLY? perhaps were you there when the universe was created if it ever was?"
Physics if something to abord with an open mind. Quantum physics even more.
The only things we're sure of, is that, WE are here, in a certain place, at a certain time that only we put as a reference, and that we don't understand a **** of anything.
For example, experiences show that what we once thought as true was not : matter and energy seem to be bonded by some link we don't know; The speed of light in the void ("c") has been broken by almost 10 million times with quantum teleportation, respecting the laws of restricted relativity; The observer seems to be observed.
I invite you all to read about the campton effect, photoelectric effect, and young's double slit experiment. these are easy experimens that don't require a lot of time to understand(even if you do the math)
A french researcher Claude Poher worked on a theory stating that motion in the universe was given by impacts of particles he named "universons" and made experiments, ranging from theoretical abstractions, to accurate readings and testing of his theory, based on gravimetric readings from Voyager when it passed near Jupiter. He came to the conclusion that what we call a universal constant (Planck's constant "h") was not a constant, and changed by a very little amount, as this was the only way to explain gravimetric absurdities from voyager and his theory.
If you have the mathematical background and the will to do some research, there is plenty to learn, and infinitly more to discover...

He said to take it to Theopia, Spudfiles isn't really the venue for this stuff.

Yeah, because they were talking about god...this is not a conversation against the forum rules, and if people don't want to answer then they don't! it is a simple as that! but i'd be more that pleased if we could have a constructive conversation here ^^ !!

Did you catch my post in that thread:

I just think you guys should be thinking about whats in front of you right hear on earth, in the only proven occupied universe known to the only proven beings with universal communication skills being practiced as I currently type this out
.

Kinda like you were saying in you starting post.

I'm really sorry about this, but as MrCrowley said this is a never ending debate, so I'm going to lock it for that reason. Please continue with this on Theopia. I have a good feeling it will pick up and be continued.
