Matty,
So sorry for your loss. I know how painful it is for you. I hope you can find some comfort in this:

" When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room~
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not too long,
and not with your heads bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared~
Miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take~
and each must go alone
It's all a part of the Maker's plan,
a step in the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart,
go to the friends we know~
Bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
Miss me, but let me go.

It is common practice for farmers to shut off the fuel petcock on the tank when parking tractors overnight because gravity feed systems were prone to leaking. Does your tractor have a shut off valve on the water separator filter? Dirt, age, wear, varnish, etc can keep the float from sealing 100%

mattyzip77 wrote:Hello all. Just a quick few words to never take life for granted. Get along with your friends and family always because you never know when a loved one could be taken from you. I recently lost my sister over the weekend. She was only 45, married with 3 kids. Imagine being her daughter, and going to wake her up from a nap, to find her gone, and never to be able to see her or talk to her again. This has been a huge reality check for me and it goes out to all of you young adults on here. Be safe, and live your life to the fullest!

Sorry to hear about this and good advice. Questions: Where's the kids father? Is he in the picture? How old are the kids? If you don't mind me asking, if you don't want to get that deep it's ok you don't have to. Again, sorry for your lose and my best to you and your family.

Offtopic.. Took the spudguns to the men's retreat this weekend. We only shot 1/2 a bag of spuds because there was some competition.
Part of the guys went rafting on a small calm stream near here. Part of the guys went to the shooting range. I packed up the cannons and went with a third group that went to the high ropes course. In spite of the distractions, we managed to launch 5 lbs of apples and 6 lbs of spuds.

Someone else took the white water photos. I took the high ropes course photos. I didn't get any air cannon pictures.

This bridge was quite wobbly. These guys fell 3 times. They claimed to be just testing the safety harness.

The rock climbing wall. This course was a real thrill. I recommend one to anyone.

A damning indictment of society that such activities are deemed necessary. Still, looks like fun :)

It is not necessary, but it was a lot of fun. :D The women have their own retreat geared more to their interests. They have fun too. My other half may post photos of her retreat, but not on SF.

Would if I could.

I don't even have them memorized so I often use grams when cooking... people wonder why I have a gram scale on my kitchen counter

But recipes insist on using volumetric measurements.

There are such things as millilitres and litres too in the metric world

I've got to work in grams and ounces at work. Sometimes with the same customer

Some don't even have the excuse of having grown up in the days of imperial measurements.
