luckily for the free world, a CIWS fits nicely in a container sized package too
Yeah, you just have to buy one CIWS for every military base and potential takrget and you're ok

The US Navy has at least one on each of their even slightly important ships, Israel even puts them on her patrol boats ;)

Isn't that what people do though, put defence systems covering important targets?

I recommend Skyshield, it's fuçking awesome!

It can shoot down a mortar round *and* rain dense tungsten pellets over a friendly area, amazing!

:D :D :D

Yes, I need to get back to that sentry gun...

Imageyeah, but field of fire of the CIWS on this ship is ~270 deg

besides.... you say tageting patrol boats I say sinking ships full of abrams tanks and expensive supplies

the point here is pretty simple - 'they' need around 10 to 40 mln$ to get one Club K system that can attack any target
but pussified western countries need a couple of bln of $ to shield just a fraction of their force
which equals => WIN

Skyshield - it's fuçking awesome
That would make a pretty good advertising slogan :D

Fair enough. Look at the Israelis, they've had to do it to their entire border!

That would make a pretty good advertising slogan :D

I should see if Oerlikon-Contraves are hiring :D

Honestly, I have considered designing a GPS guided missile/rocket. It seems like they could be made for far less than what the government spends on them. I think I would use an arduino. :D

That's because unlike some European countries, we actually have things worth defending.

Many European countries have much worth defending, but they don't make a target of themselves by flaunting their military to the world.

Even after saying this, I still hope the US will come down here if some other country trys to steal <s>your</s> our yellow cake.
