Cammy, if you can, do a cut away of them too, but if you cant, you dont have to. Take your time, I probably wont be able to make this anyways... I dont have the right machines for it...

cfb, if it was that simple, I would do it. I like the idea, but honestly, I dont think it would work.... Feel free to try it....

JUST GOT ANOTHER IDEA FOR MAKING EM STICK! Use a spike, and fire it into something, and have 2 small packets of 1 minute epoxy, so that the spike goes through them, bursting the packets and then mixing the epoxy, then its stuck in the target holding for long enough for the epoxy to stick to it. Think it might work?

all good, always good to look at the simple theories first and eliminate the ones that definitely won't work.

Yeah. Everything starts with a prototype though. Just like the machine gun. It started with a flapper at the end with a rod that pushed the trigger back every time it fired.

that's right, be prepared to learn from your failures though. Put it this way, i also ride freestyle bmx, it's a sport that's notorious for breaking parts you wouldn't think would break. I've designed a few parts and most work well, but i'm on my second frame design, after fixing some unexpected failures in the design of the first, and i'm working on a third design to fix some slight issues with the second frame. So while trying to avoid throw away failures as much as possible, don't be disappointed if they happen.

one question, how big do you want the projectile? and how many shots do you want in the barrel? cos all that will reflect cartridge size.

Hmmm, 1" long, and about 1/2" ID. 6 shots in the revolver, and in the actual barrel, just 1 flag like a sprinkler marker or something.

it is posted on sketchup 3d warehouse, look for "revolving chamber flare gun" or the collection "home-makeable guns" by cam.dav32 (me)and download and have a look it, sorry about the poor quality I was sorta in a rush, I have a data analysis due in for tomorrow!. :D ,

Just a note; the cartridge is shown without the interior to keep it simple, and the gun is a little deviated from initial thoughts, that is because it needed to be easily constructible in real-life.

Still gonna do this.... You never know, prototypes always lead to improvements which lead to products.
