Comments like some of the less brilliant ones shown in this post (from youtube) make me wonder what kind of world we live in anymore too many keyboard warriors.

the internet is full of retards - that's a fact

I know this thread is on comments exclusively but let say it's somewhat related...

I've seen like thousands of vids with some crazy free energy generators that clearly were fake... and I was what the f### is wrong with the people who watch it? and how the hell they get 5 milion views or more

I recently realized that people who post them might in fact be very clever - cobble up something that seems to work, insert a few coils here and there or use other tricks to hide the power source, post the vid - enable ads and profit from retards who watch the video because they think something like free energy is possible or those who visit just to point out that it's 'obviously a fake'

yeah I came across that while I was browsing through the channels that have all those 'free energy devices'

though that doesn't count because it's obviously a joke

anyway I am just trying to make a point - some people make videos on free energy and stuff even if they know that's not possible - simply to get $$$

so they aren't in fact dumb but clever.... same with comments - not every stupid comment or remark reflects someone's stupidity - some enjoy trolling, some try to profit from them

need some examples ?
Do you think you'd have ever watched even one video of this group ??
Image
....if they hadn't said something as stupid as 'freakin magnets how do they work?'

this video now has +11 000 000 views and the group got more publicity than they ever hoped for

I think what you said is actually plausible as, based on my some very basic calculations, you could make more than $10,000USD from a video with 5 million views. It's difficult to say with any certainty how much someone would earn from a video like that as the ad pricing changes depending on its popularity and such but I wouldn't be surprised if it was even more than that.

Not surprised :) aren't you ironically funding them though by browsing?

I've heard speculation that it was deliberate trolling, if you see them being interviewed they are obviously not so stupid.

To be honest, there were a few songs of theirs I had in my mp3 collection before the freakin' magnets
