a paintball's diameter is .689 caliber, how is a .75 or 3/4 in. barrel fire paint at that velocity?

where did you find that size pvc?

and

how did you resize that specific size barrel to 1" or so?

The barrel was purchased from Home Depot, ~$2 for 10'.

The nominal diameter is 1/2", which means that the pipe fits into 1/2" PVC fittings.
