BTB sawed-off mark II

Unread postAuthor: Brian the brain » Fri Feb 08, 2008 3:05 pm

Here it is!!

Pneumatic sawed-off shotgun mark II.
Same concept as the original, just cleaner, better and made to sell in numbers!!

THis one will be used to get a contract to build 10 of these, to be used by members of an airgun club. ( they have permission)

Only the QEV restricts the pressure to...I believe Ragnarok used them at 35 bar right??

Well...not much to say here, just...enjoy!

Wow that is clean, isn't the handle a bit excessive with the pilot volume?

You could've put a the schrader before the ball valve and left the handle.

3/4" QEV with a 1" barrel and 2" chamber?

Thats awesome!

I love how clean it looks, great job!

How much are you charging the airgun club to make this gun for them?

What do you mean by the handle is excessive?

When the pump is removed the handle part empties up to the ballvalve.
The schrader is empty, no valve, just the outside.

Can't get a smaller pilot volume than this.
I built it like that on purpose.
Try 1/2" QEV, 1-1/4" chamber and 3/4 barrel.

It's going to be sold to guys that are used to .177 airguns...

They pay 200 euro's. Spudfilers would pay less offcourse.

Ah my bad, I completely over-looked that.

Oh well I was close-ish.

Looks like those airgun guys are going to be having fun.
Do you have an idea of performance yet, like fps and ftlbs? What ammo will be recommended?

Nice work Brian.

Did you just use the imperial system?

BTW that is a very clean gun, you won't have to worry about it exploding that's for sure!

Well not really, i asked for the values to be expressed in imperial, is there a problem with that? I find it easier to visualize the effect of cannons when performance is described that way.

When i make cannons i use nothing but Metric, apart from when i use .50cal barrels. :D

Very nice, I've been wanting to make a sawn-off style 0.75@ high pressure launcher for a while now, but I think I'd want mine with a can on the front :D
