airsoft carbine V2

Unread postAuthor: Demon » Mon May 24, 2010 1:57 pm

This is my latest carbine, took me 3 full machining days, approx. 24 hours of build time and it looks like a loss of time

Anyway, it made me learn and practice how to machine

Power would be 618 fps with .2 grams

Do you have a mill, too? or a dremel and way too much patience?

Looks Great, except for the rubber band!

You should put a nice wooden stock on it, it would be cool. Why don't you want to? I don't understand the valve. Is it single shot hammer?

So what did you use?

Looks really well made. Could you maybe provide a diagram of the inner workings?

interesting valve. But as others have said, this thing needs a nice wooden stock. Just buy small pieces of oak and glue them together. Should cost under $10 aud. A bloke made a how to about it, i cant link you to it as im on my phone

since when were mini lathes and drill presses basic, i build witha exacto knife (box cutter), a hack saw and a regular drill. for a dremel i use a piece of sand paper glued to a steel rod and insert it into my drill (works great) :D

You keep implying it doesn't work. Is it broken or have you just moved on?

Looks like a pump, chamber sealing valve with a physical latch on the piston instead of a pneumatic trigger, bolt loading and looks like it should be able to work. Seals not working?

Stuff happens. Going to redo it?

Rocket armed plane looks fun.

It works very well, it is just that the pump is hard to push after 120 psi, wich really limits the power (150 psi would be giving much more power)
