Golfball gun

Unread postAuthor: GustavssonB » Tue Sep 11, 2012 7:35 am

Here is my new gun
Image

It´s a golfball shooting QEV gun that has been taken to 8 bar pressure.

-Chamber: The chamber is a 1,25 liters extinguisher that holds up to 30 bars pressure
-The valves: The primary valve is a homemade qev that is piloted by a smaller qev and a blowgun
-The barrel: The barrel is a pvc pipe that fitts golfballs

Impressive!

I would try to optimise the piston a little, maybe using synthetic spacers instead of metal to save weight, and grinding down the sealing face nut for better flow, but otherwise great job!

Also, you only need one small (1mm dia is enough) equalisation hole...

Thanks for the tips:) I have been thinking on making the front bolt on the piston smaller but I wanted to try the gun first to see if it worked and it did:)
