Noob air cannon trigger question

Unread postAuthor: air_dannon » Thu Dec 06, 2012 12:14 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to put together a copper spud gun and understand the easy to implement pressure release valve method for a trigger device. I saw this when looking for a non-ripped-from-bike-tire Schrader valve (which I'm having a hard time locating nearby me, Home Depot-No, Ace Hardware-No, Autozone-No)? Anyway, would this work, or has anyone used this as a trigger mech on a gun? (see pic) I'm assuming here that when pressed in pressure is allowed through? Thanks

Schrader valve at your local autoparts store or from McMaster-Car.

Maybe it isn't a European site (or isn't using European notation) and the period is actually a decimal point and not a numeric separator comma
250PSI sounds more likely anyway :D

I don't know anywhere that's like that and I have been to China  but 250 psi does make much more sense.

UK/US/Aus/NZ etc all use a period as a decimal point and not a numeric separator. Norgren is a U.S. company so it's probably safe to assume that 250.000PSI represents 250PSI and the extra three zeros after the decimal are a standard used by the Norgren website for valves/regulators/equipment that need to be accurate to one thousandth of a PSI.

I could be wrong, I'm just basing that off the information at hand :P

Given how it opens, I don't see how this could be more effective that a ball valve.
