It seems to work perfectly!

Oh..Have you looked at blow-forward valves?
That would give you perfect semi-auto!

Auto-laoding a bb each shot with the valve set-up you already have is like the Holy Grail to a lot of members...

my pilot works perfect cause i had a lot of work and many many hours to build and test. it is easy to make and simple. I am not sure what to explain without a diagram ( ill start to make a diagram and load it soon ) as about semiauto, i dont know wat's the blow fwd valve(?). but if you build my valves perfect, the power is pretty good no matter the pressure- it kind of self regulate the power. i still got some probl. with this 6 mm air gun, i need to make the semiauto valve better. i got a video on youtube about pilot made by me, you only have to get how its working, cuz in the vid looks far too complicated.....
tks !

The blow-forward valve is actually a blow forward bolt: it loads projectiles automatically.

You could do a hammered pistonvalve in a traditional hammervalve configuration.
This could be fired with a crosman style hammer, with a relatively weak spring.. but will give a much more powerful shot.
By not sealing around the valvestem you could make the hammer blow back. The blast from the piston should be powerful enough, especially since you won;t need a very powerful hammer to set it off.

if you say to but a hammer inst. of the pilot - Mine is better than that one. it is not hammered but hand pushed, to obtain semiauto and to have more or less power i got that 3rd valve that shuts after a certin pressure is reached in the pilot( to resist the spring) this way i do not have to reload a hammer and i easily set power. things gets done by them self and the most important thing is that i got a sort of regulated power rather i shoot 15 bar or 30 bar . I did it 2 years ago like the old stile hammer but i had seen this valve system at wyzz 2285 and i made it ( homemade it). i got more power than i need with this valves, for plastic bbs.

I'm not sure how the second half of my previous post ended up in this thread..??

I thought I was editing a reply in the " Bit of help with hammer valve "thread.
I deleted it here and reposted it in the right discussion.

Yes..your pilot is indeed a very good one.. :D

I get how it pilots and how the second valve shuts...but what makes it release the built up pressure so you can pilot again?
Does it have a small leak?

Yes, it has a small leak ! actually the semiauto valve doesnt contain a rubber washer, its a con shape that allows not a perfect seal.

Ah...
I experimented with that quite some years ago..Never followed up on it.
I might have to reconcider...

You've made it work and look very well!

this valves is only for low power you cant have the power of a qev or hammer valve this way

I should have called it an auto-bolt.

This thing is what you put between your valve ( qev-piston-whatever) and your barrel.

It's not your firing-valve.

i understand how it works, but a part of the force is loosed by pushing fwd the piston, and what remains is transferred to the bb. it is like the blast was allredy made and the bb gets only few of it plus that the exaustion hole( or airchamber) is reduced to 6 mm with restricts the flow. it seems this way to me, but if you made it you must know better.

At some like 1125+ fps ( I think some one correct me here ) it should make a loud boom like it break the sound barrier.

I think that's fairly irrelevant.
It's very difficult to go supersonic with a pneumatic* - and even if you do, the aerodynamics of an airsoft BB are crummy enough (particularly at transonic speeds) that it'll go subsonic almost instantly and any sonic crack will just get subsumed into the much louder muzzle blast.

*Excluding using lighter than air gases, anyway. There's a few cases where it might have been done with air, but I'm not if any of those were confirmed beyond all doubt.

, actualy is not so hard to get supersonic, it's all about pressure. It goes cause of its weight, at least when it exits the barrel. if i use heavier ammo, i am sure it wont. Airsoft airgun made for games goes @ under 500 fps, so looling to some penetration test with it, i concluded i go supersonic with my gun( not all the shoots ) . So its not really hard do get supersonic or at least sonic. at my tests when i shoot at low power the bb cracks at impact with an thin iron target( for ex.) but if i shoot at high speed that bb penetrate it and it is intact at exit.
still i've been looking trough some low power factory made pellet guns and i am proud to say i can do with a plastic bb same tests as they do with pellets ( only closer range) . i will film a video with my tests.

it does a loud boom ( only when i shoot at 27-30 bar) . in the vid i put the camera( witch is a phone) close to target so the sound was from the hit not from gun ant i only charged my gun with 15 bar.

i kind of scarred my neighbors, i think they are suspicious.

well, now after 3000 fires i want to say that very important thing is the barrel. It is pretty easy to gain lot of power, but without accuracy it is useful. i used a fibercarbon 6 mm pipe as inner barrel, i was pretty precise , like i hit a nut in my walnut tree by 20 m. But now after all those 3000 bb's i loosen a lot of accuracy. So i will buy a inox pipe that i hope it will hang on well. I am thinking if i should try to apply some rifles(?) in the barrel like ive seen on smooth bore fx airgun or not to............
