Edit: sry i think it was 4 tennis ball barrels and not golf ball barrels but golf balls should work too.

No, the mythbusters one had 6 or eight tennis ball barrels with a net connected to all the tennis balls.

First find out how to make a net, or buy one from somewhere.

Put weights on the corners of it.

Then make a multi-barreled launcher that will fire one weight/barrel. Mabye aim them slightly outwards so the net can expand.

I think that should work...

A danger of doing this would be if one of the corners of the nets somehow got jammed in one of the barrels then the net would fly, whip around at a high speed and hit you in the face.

Death by net = not fun
