The same reason you don't use non-sticky tape. It just don't make no sense.

Whats wrong with my idea it's just like a mortar just you don't drop rounds down the barrel to fire. There is teflon tape.

If that were the case, I would just mod the sprinkler valve. Just to clear this up, you know this is built already, right?
